Rococo Gardens Run A very hot day saw a brave band of MG owners venturing forth into the great unknown. It was like crossing the Gobi desert - well maybe not quite that hot but it was enough to boost the sales of Tea at the famous Rococo gardens. Graham and Joyce had obviously organised the weather well in advance. Fifteen MGs turned up to do this 30 mile run. We braved hostile horses, breakdowns and the heat to see some magnificent scenery. We started at Painswick and moved through the Cotswolds seeing Brookethorp, Edge, Haresfield Beacon, Holcombe, Bulls Cross, Sheepscombe and Cranham to name but a few. There were only two breakdowns today, quite good considering the heat of the day. The MGA went first through overheating. Not surprising considering the heat and the hills we had to go through. Still, the views made it worthwhile. Next came the MGB of Hywel and Liz, a shame really as they were in sight of the finishing line. To me the best sight of the day was coming around a bend in the road and being stuck behind a queue of MGs. I still cant work out how we were the last to start but finished mid field. Surprising as we didn't overtake anyone. I put it down to my wifes good navigating
