Please note that the Gloucestershire MG Owners club is listing these businesses as they have been proven as either good suppliers or services as measured by members of the club. The idea of this page is not to list suppliers recommended by the club but just to show where members have in the past received good service.
There are many members in the club that have a pool of knowledge about local businesses and experiences with their cars. Although the list below is NOT recommendations it does reflect that pooled knowledge. Anyone wishing to use this list should use it as a start point and make their own decisions. The club will not be held liable for any issues arising from their use.
Having said that, individual members have had good experiences with these below.

Nigel runs a very busy and therefore popular garage in Woodchester that caters for all vehicle types but he especially welcomes classic cars to work on as he and his colleagues are true mechanics who enjoy working on vehicles that require that extra bit of mechanical knowledge and experience to work on. .
The garage also carries out MOT tests which means that most of the requirements you need to keep your MG on the road can be done under one roof. Also the garage is open from 0800 in the morning until at least 1800 in the evening which allows you to drop your car off before and after work (very useful for those of us who are still earning a crust!).
In addition to their mechanical expertise, all of his team are friendly and approachable so I trust them implicitly with all aspects of maintaining my MGA. . Nigel has even talked me through an ignition problem I had with the "A" on the end of a mobile 'phone when I was stranded at passport control at Dover last year!
In his spare time Nigel takes part in hill climbing events around the country in his highly adapted cars, demonstrating his and his team's mechanical expertise and enthusiasm for motor sport.
I therefore have no hesitation in recommending Nigel and his team.

The seat frame snapped on the B, I called into B.P Motor Body Builders, The Runnings, Runnings Road, Cheltenham, GL51 9NJ 01242 245698 and asked if they would be prepared to take such a small job on, without hesitation the proprietor Lee Kedward said that he would do the job himself. On my return he had not only welded it but painted it as well.
In conversation I also found out that he was currently repainting an MGB and had preformed heritage shell swaps and other MG restoration work.
The quality of the paintwork that I saw was superb.

Lee has done a great job of rust removal on my MGB. While this was relatively straight forward matching the colour was not and Lee spent much time ensuring a good match could be achieved before starting the work. Lee has also adjusted, painted and fitted a new valance for my car. All the work was done efficiently and with care, the car was kept inside and looked after. Very happy to recommend Lee and BP Motors in Cheltenham who last worked on my car in November 2012.

Mark at Jacob Engineering helped me greatly with my car not long after I had bought it. His experience and knowledge of the MGB and a feeling that he cares about the heritage and value of original machinery is reassuring. Mark guided me as he adapted the car for basic use at Prescott and he did so in a way that would not modernise it in anyway. I value Marks opinion and recommend him to anyone interested in historic racing cars. Mark last worked on my car in the summer of 2012.

A E Wilcox (John (Service) and Tim (Sales)) were ex MGR dealers and although they now have a Citroen and Daihatsu franchise continue to offer an outstanding level of service to any and all MGR cars. The have an excellent reputation within MGF and Z series circles and were one of the 'Division One' dealers of MGR. They have many contacts within the world of MG and still seem to be able to source virtually any part. Their reputation is such that other dealers and workshops will take cars to Wilcox when they have been unable to diagnose or effect repairs themselves.
From a personal perspective, a persistent overheating issue (but only when driving, not when stationary) with my MGTF following a head gasket repair earlier this year proved extremely problematic. Wilcox's didn't give up on the car and although it eventually took six weeks to resolve, the car is now running like a dream and hasn't missed a beat since.
They looked after my original MGF, my ZS180 and now my MGTF. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for work on any modern MG (noting that they also have their own bodyshop).

Is it possible to list this company in the Garage services area http://www.mikris-finishers.co.uk/ they do grit blasting, painting , powder coating
ect, as they say ‘if it dosent move we can paint it’ I have used them for many years form bike frames to wheels to radiators and there prices
are good.
