The Gloucestershire MG Owners Club thrives on its
social activities and it runs many events during the year. The
detailed calendar of future events is listed below. Its normal
monthly meetings are held at the The Gala Club and start at 8:00 pm. Every one is welcome to come along and join the fun - you
will be made very welcome. These are the Directions to the club.

Normal monthly meeting with a presentation by the Samaritans - didnt realise the club was that bad! It should be a very interesting insight.

Sunday lunch organised by Rita and Adrian. We will be going to the Crown at Frampton Mansell. Last time I went there I got stuck in the snow - still it should have gone by now!
For those that can remember we went there two years ago See Here. It is traditional Cotswold Stone building dating back to 1633. It has logs fires and good local beer!
The Sunday lunch is £8.75 and is a choice of Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding, Roast Lamb or Roast Pork & Crackling, all served with Roast Potatoes, vegetables and Gravy
There is also the following available:-
Fish chips and Garden Peas £8.75
Open short crust Pastry Game Pie with Mash and vegetables £9.25
Homemade vegetable Lasagne with Garlic Bread £8.50

The 2010 Classic Car and Motorbike Picnic will be on Sunday 1st August 10.30am to 5.00pm This annual event celebrates Classic cars and motorbike of all ages, shapes and sizes. Owners and clubs are invited to bring their classic vehicle along and picnic in the beautiful grounds of the famous home of the WW2 codebreakers Prices are £5.00 per Car and £3.00 per motorbike.

The Welsh Trip this year is 5th August to 9th August inc. ie. 4 nights. At this holiday time hotels do get very busy and early bookings are essential. Please email me to indicate if interested in coming. I would like to know by the next monthly meeting on 8th October if possible please. |

Following discussions with Members the following itinerary is proposed :-
DAY 1 Drive from Gloucester to Fishguard in time to catch the 2.30pm ferry .
170 miles
(Some may break the journey by staying o/nite at a Premier Inn the previous night)
Overnight stay at hotel in Rosslare (only 1 mile max from port)
DAY 2 Drive to Kinsale near Cork 140 miles.
2 night stay at Kinsale Hotel
DAY 3 Free
DAY 4 Drive to Killarney 70 miles.
2 night stay at Killarney Hotel
DAY 5 Free
DAY 6 Drive to Rosslare 170 miles.
Overnight stay in Rosslare hotel
DAY 7 Up early , in time to catch 9.00am ferry.
Arrive at Fishguard 12.30pm Drive back to Gloucester 170 miles.
Above total mileage is 720 miles

Day1 is Tuesday September 14th 2010, Day 7 is Monday September 20th 2010.
This years overseas trip is now all booked and we have 8 cars going.. With visiting three towns in southern Ireland, there will plenty of opportunities to witness the scenery and sample the dark home-brew as well as the whiskey (note the spelling).
