Jan & Gethin’s Sunday Lunch 24th March,

The Frogmill, Shipton Oliffe

Sunday morning dawned and surprise, surprise the wet weather gear we had prepared did not appear to be needed,

We had 13 names for lunch up to 9pm on Saturday night when Paul and Margaret found that their services were not required to help their daughter move home and emailed asking if they could be fitted in. Great relief that we would not have 13 at the table we decided that we would get to the Frogmill very early and arrange the extra places and so the answer was yes, we would love them to join us.

It was definitely a day to go topless and so for the second day running we set off across the Cotswolds having been to the Motor Hub at Bibury on Saturday again topless.

On arrival at the Frogmill the staff could not have been more helpful and set the table for the extra places.

Not having a decent camera on my steam driven analogue phone, Laurence kindly offered his and the photos were duly taken.

We had intended to have a group photo of the cars but there were so many cars in the car park that it was impossible to get our group together.

The food was excellent and the choices were not the usual Sunday roast fare, including a rarity on the Dessert Menu – ‘Possum’ especially for Dave. (you’ll have to ask him!)

Everyone seemed to enjoy the day or if they didn't, did not have the courage to tell me.
For any member who is thinking of running a meal next winter season can we suggest that you book in plenty of time as we were turned down at three other places before the Frogmill accepted our booking.
We look forward to seeing more of you for the first run of the year on Tuesday23rd of April.
Jan & Gethin.
