Rob and Myn’s Run
25th April  2017

Eight cars took part in the first evening run of the year. Sadly, after all his hard work organising the route and creating the tulip diagrams, Rob was sent away on business, and missed the run itself. We had all kinds of weather for the first run of the year, starting off in blazing sunshine, and finishing after a hailstorm that made Terry and Liz glad that they were doing the run in their mini, as the wipers on the MG A would have struggled.
Turning right out of the Whaddon layby (or left, in the case of one car which went to get petrol before starting the run) the route looped around Stonehouse  past the bluebells in Standish Woods, and back to Brookthorpe again before climbing the hill to Cranham and more bluebells.

All the cars managed to squeeze into the car park at the Star Inn, Whiteshill, where the food eventually arrived. No, we don’t know why the cheese plate takes longer to cook than the apple crumble. But good things come to those who wait!
