Rita and Adrian Meal at the Lamb, Eastcombe

23rd November 2014

Well, this meal was organised before we left for Bournemouth but we were happy to come back and play host. Especially as it was so close to our old home

We were lucky in that we knew the Lamb well and had eaten there a few times before. This time it was under new ownership so it was worth the research that Rita and I did. When we booked we did let them know that they would score brownie points if Crumble and Cheesecake were on the menu. They said it would be arranged.

We especially asked for the window seats as they gave view to the glorious Toadsmoor valley. Unfortunately there were too many of us there to allow us all to have a view with 27 people turning up. We were really pleased with the attendance but are sure they only came to make sure we had left the area

We had organised a special discounted price as there were so many of us and the meal itself was superb with fresh vegetable and real meat - no prepacked and precut items. All off of the joints. The puddings (mostly crumble) went down well

As usual noise levels were a sign of a good time and everyone enjoyed themselves. Rita and I offered for them all to come back to our place for coffee but for some reason they refused!

It was a great day it was nice to come back and see our friends

Many thanks to the Lamb for doing such a nice meal
