COSFORD MUSEUM VISIT SUNDAY 6TH OCTOBER 2013

It was suggested way back in 2012 that we should have a visit to Cosford Museum and the response by the Club Members was overwhelming, but sadly it had to be put on hold till the following year.
Sunday 6th October was booked with the Museum for a guided tour and lunch with the provisional number of Members being 27, this was to be confirmed during the middle of September.   Mike, our in-house coach driver/organiser, was asked to book transport for that day.

It was a cold, but dry and sunny day when we all assembled at the unearthly hour of 8.30am at the Gala Club ready to alight the coach, Mike had been able to get the larger coach so comfort and space was the order of the day.
We had a warm welcome on arrival at the Museum and whilst waiting for our two guides we had a cup of coffee and a bun!  We were split into two groups and had a very informative tour of the hangers.  We broke for lunch which was well organised with no complaints, tea and coffee were also included in the price.

After lunch we concluded our tour and then were given free time to wander at will, returning to the coach with a pleasant journey home arriving back at the Gala Club at around 5.30pm.
For anyone who has not visited the Museum it is well worth a trip especially the Cold War Hangar and entry is free with a nominal parking fee.
