Annual Christmas Dinner

8th December 2012

This year we went back to the Old Crown at Paganhill following last years success. Twenty four people attended. Sian had once again "decked out the hall" with our MG bunting again. The surroundings were again looking very festive as the first guests arrived at 7pm ready for the meal at 7:30.

As usual the noise was immense once we all arrived and no one was in a rush to sit down to eat. So after a long time chatting and delivering the Christmas cards we set about the food. As usual there was the ever present Turkey and Christmas pud on the menu plus other options.

We had the upper tier of the conservatory and once everyone was sat down battle commenced. Three courses later and we were able to start circulating again. Before that we had a game of "Heads and Tails" organised by Brian. The object of the game is to either put hands on head or backside. Then a coin is tossed and if its heads then those with hands on head win. So, 23 willing volunteers all waited with bated breath. Julia was the winner of a tight competition. The money was handed over and Julia very generously donated it to the proceeds for the Cotswold Caper. So, we are now £23 better off thanks to her!

The bar did a brisk trade for the rest of the evening and we all made our way home about 10pm. Thanks to Sian and her team once again
