Sunday Lunch at the Crown

This was the last Winter Sunday lunch of the season before the evening runs start. Still, what a venue. The Crown at Frampton Mansell is a typical country pub several hundred years old made from Cotswold stone. The lower bar was set aside for us and the fire was already churning out the heat. Twenty four happy (and noisy) souls were gathered ready for the forthcoming meal. The Crown always does good food and offers great value for money.

For those who needed to find us all they had to do was to head for the noise. It is surprising how so few people can make so much noisy chat. Still, I suppose thats why we are a sociable club.

The star of the show arrived with Nan and Granddad in tow. It was a pleasure seeing Liam and Liams mum and Liams dad. Please note Gillian and Chris' new names. It was great to see Sue and Trev new Grandson and especially how he has them both already round his little finger. Still, he and I are best mates as we were "high fiving"!

The meal itself was up to its usual standard but the Apple and Blackberry Crumble was out of this world. It really was just like mum used to make.

Once the meal was over the chat continued until until it was time to wend our weary but full way back home. As the sunshine was out I am sure many went the pretty way just to add to the day
