Sunday Lunch

The Royal Pub was looking resplendent on this fine sunny, but cool Sunday morning. It had been boarded up for  for 2 years, but £200.000 and 6 months later it really looked a picture.
Soon 16, hungry looking people, gathered outside, obviously from the Glos MG club. But where were the other two? After a telephone call it  transpired they were familiarizing themselves with the local signposts which were totally wrong and incorrect! This caused them to get completely lost  and heading in the wrong direction???  Happily  they eventually arrived at 12.07, exactly the best time!! To save embarrassment no names will be mentioned, but it was surprising that they didn't arrive in a MG Magnette??
With excellent service from both the bar staff  and the waitresses,drinks and food were  ordered and quickly arrived. Immediately the tremendous hubhub of talking about MGs etc
ceased and serious business of eating began. 
The meal was very good value, with plenty of well cooked meat and vegetables which were fresh and slightly 'roasted' Very nice. Puddings were the usual favorites, with no complaints heard. In fact the only complaint heard was from the Secretary, when a Winstones icecream was ordered???

All too soon the meal ended, the menfolk pleased that there was no washing up to do. Another successful  lunchtime meal, what better way to spend a Sunday.
