Visit to Bovington Tank Museum

Eleven members made their way to Dorset, the weather was horrible to say the least but we did manage three MGs although it proved a little damp for the chairman and secretary who turned up in their tintop! 

There was parking arranged for us in the area outside the museum where we were met by Chris who escorted us through the throngs of visitors to the viewing gallery where an excellent buffet had been laid out for us.  Whilst eating we were able to watch a live presentation in comfort, although some members did venture outside to take in the atmosphere.  We were taken to meet our guide Jane who gave us a very informative hour long tour. 

Finally we had only a short time to wander through the various displays before starting our homeward journey.  It has been noted that Trev would like to return to the museum as to take in all that was on display would need at least a whole day.
