Kemble Steam & Vintage Extravaganza
Sunday 2nd August 2009

Thirteen cars attended this spectacular steam show, twelve from our Club and we were pleased to welcome Tony Nash from Oxford with his immaculate MGB.  The weather was definitely on our side contrary to the weather mens forecast.  The members were suitably impressed with our new gazebo which is proving to be much easier to erect thereby saving blood pressures all round.

When Neils’ Midget doors opened we were amazed to see that  the complete family were aboard making it a 2+2!

Neil also starred as a super car park attendant organizing everyone so that the gazebo could be erected conveniently amongst our cars making for an attractive stand.

Once again the cost of food was mentioned and possibly in future the club could provide their own bacon butties etc with the provision of a mobile bbq - something to look in to.  Comments were also made about a bar!! (Lynn)

One other thing that impressed at this event was the number of enquires to join our club from various MG owners, some of whom already belonged to other local clubs, but seemed to appreciate the benefit of  joining the Gloucestershire MGOC with all the social activities etc.  I personally referred them to our excellent web site where they can discover the joys of our club.
